"The Story Of Us" is a catchy ballad super excited with a touch of guitar. It was inspired by seeing a former boyfriend in an award. "We were both in 'I'm ignoring you, I do not care,'" she recalls.

Swift doesn't said if this song is about Joe Jonas and just laughed when asked if the ballad 'Back To December' was entered for Taylor Lautner. "After I wrote this, I realized that I never apologized to anyone in a song," she says. "This album is about my confessions."
